60th Charter Day Celebration

Welcome from the President

Greetings and welcome to the website of The Suffolk Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. I greet you on behalf of the victorious women of our chapter and hope that you will utilize your time on our website to learn how we promote sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action in the city of Suffolk, Virginia.

The 22 Founders of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated built this organization on Christian principles, remembering that it pleases God for us to do good and share with others. We here at Suffolk Alumnae have continued to stand on those same principles for the past 60 years. Our members recognize their civic responsibility and take an active interest in the well-being of our community through our programs and events, which promote educational development, economic development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health, and political awareness and involvement.

Our local chapter follows the direction of our Grand Chapter and the Sensational South Atlantic Region, where the theme is “We Promise to Always S.E.E. You.” Suffolk, we see your needs and will continue to be impactful, supportive, and empowering in our efforts to help meet those needs.

We vow to love legitimately, inspire immensely, vocalize victoriously, and evolve ethically in sisterhood.

We look forward to you joining us. Come on, Suffolk, LET’S L.I.V.E.!
